Here's a neat clearinghouse for our hobby, and a good, growing alternative to internet auction sites.  We now use them to sell most of our radio-related stuff.
Richard Estes runs a reputable vintage radio auction house with numerous auctions each year - incredible stuff passes through his two auction houses about an hour south of Cleveland.  If you had the willpower, I'd suggest not buying on a certain internet auction site for a year and use that money to attend one or two of his auctions.
The web site for SCARS, or Southern California Antique Radio Society.  If you live in the area, consider joining them for the yearly convention November in Carlsbad.  You'd also enjoy their annual auction in late February in Van Nuys.
A chance occurance, traveling the back roads, was running into this very cool art deco sign in Nevada, Missouri.  Click here to see larger pictures.

Our "twins" Gary & Debi have some good stories to tell about their travels, real and virtual; (Not to be confused with the other Gary & Debby who are publishing this site - even more confusing since we live just 15 miles apart).

VRPS is Vintage Radio & Phonograph Society in the Dallas area.  My very first exposure to antique radios, and a place we try to return to every year or so - we live on the west coast now.  Lots of things year round, but of special note is their annual convention November in Mesquite and annual spring auction in Mid-March.
Old Time Replications - www.antiqueradioknobs.com
Here is a guy who not only has all sorts of expert-made reproductions, but he's someone with integrity who also cares about the hobby. Larry Bordonaro gives great service, and you can find repro knobs, pushbuttons, escutcheons and plastic grills. He also was the only person in the universe who had the tiniest of nails so I could put the bezels back on a Grebe and enjoy it again. You can also email Larry at oldtimerep@aol.com.
