Thanks for checking out our homegrown site. We've had
the collecting bug since 1997, and I sometimes wonder what it
would've been like to do it back in the 70's or 80's. At least
we were around to enjoy the very early years of ebay and the
tail end of the heydeys for radio club flea markets and auctions.
My
"Radiobarn" is more like a radio shed, but that doesn't matter.
Radiobarn is more a state of mind than a physical place, conjuring
up an image of a winding country road far from the urban roar,
where just over the hill and around the curve sits an old but proud piece
of American farming heritage. You can't resist pulling
over, stopping the car and feel the urge to peer just inside the barn
doors, where in a far corner, sits what looks to be an old wood radio,
full of tubes, memories and perhaps a rat's nest. Whether searching
a barn, attic, basement or flea market, it's the thrill of the
hunt we share with fellow collectors that keeps us going.
We
hope you enjoy browsing our site - click on any of the
colored bars at the left to see things from our collection,
maybe something for sale, and other places & people that make
our hobby better.
